My readme

When I work alone

I trust others.

(Almost) never been disappointed.

I have difficulty starting tasks.

Once I sit down and push past that initial hurdle (or, more often, when a deadline forces me to), I do get things done!

When I work in a team

I love to help others.

This is why I love my job, too.

I enjoy being part of a group.

Even when I don't actively engage.

I am concerned about others.

I choose my words with care.

There are the things that I say and there are things that my counterparts hear. I do realize those two might be different.

I am a creature of habit.

I love predictability in my professional life. As simple as that.

In discussions I'm more likely to listen than to tell people my opinions.

You must first understand the other person's perspective to gain a better understanding of your own.

I am regularly a little late for meetings.

And I'm working on this, I promise but there is still some way to go...

My beliefs

I feel sympathy for those who are worse off than myself.

And I feel that we all should rediscover and increase our capacity for compassion.

I value cooperation over competition.

Our world has changed. Let's find a way to do things together.

I need to have all relevant facts before I can make a decision.

Yeah and sometimes it takes a while. SOORRY

I look at the bright side of life.

Because this is where my heart is :)

I believe in human goodness.

And I've experienced it over and over again.

Logistics

My most productive time is around lunch.

This is when I sit down with people outside my core work...

For day to day communication 1 prefer Calls and 1:1 meetings.

I appreciate remote work and the possibilities it offers digitally, but I much prefer in-person connection.

For day to day communication I prefer asynchronous channels (Email, Messenger, Text).

I prefer email but for tasks and smaller updates I'm a big fan of MS teams, though.

For new project discussions I prefer team meetings.

Group meetings do really show where everybody (literally) stands
